Ok I’m an intelligent idiot. I love football, cricket, music and pubs. I used to be a big lover of reading (not Reading) - before life, running my own business, and having children competed for that particular pleasure! Favourite authors: Ian Rankin, John Irving, John Grisham, Magnus Mills, Sartre, John Fowles, Dickens and… Agatha Christie (I have all 77 of her novels 🫠)
I have a ridiculously pointless knowledge of music. 30-odd years of listening to the radio at work I guess. My favourite years were late 80s/early 90s GLR, which is now BBC Radio London. Presenters included a young Chris Evans, Danny Baker, Robert Elms (who was instrumental in the birth of the New Romantic movement (look it up). Music back then was indie/Brit pop. Apart from the obvious we’re talking Gene, McAlmont & Butler, Suede. Have I lost you yet?
You’re still here then. Good, I’ll continue. I’ve owned a small merchandise business since 1988. Printed and embroidered schoolwear, workwear and a recent order for an American rock band for their UK tour 💪
