About her
An interesting life - a rebel in my youth and much travelled. A few career changes thanks to the Open University and perseverence. Not the greasy pole to fame and fortune - happy days in Learning and Development culminating in final 10 years as University Senior Lecturer. Now blissfully retired, ready for the next adventures.
A Few of My Favourite Things -
Music- SO much, from classical to blues, 80's electronica, punk to Leonard Cohen and Van Morrison, Tina Turner, Fleetwood Mac old days and now; Art, the Renaissance to Contemporary: Architecture, from The Royal Crescent in Bath to the Bilbao Guggenheim: Walks, along the seashore, countryside, or City strolling; travel is great - days out, weekends away, holidays (UK and abroad) Movies & books, far too many for this brief encounter.
Brainy but not highbrow, a romantic realist if truth be told. Pastimes, I dabble in watercolours, with daydreams of emulating Turner (love Hockney, Klee, Kandinsky, Grayson Perry and many more). I enjoy cooking - more Nigella than Gordon! and I really appreciate a nice meal being cooked for me, but if you're not a cook, take outs or eating out instead will be ok!
Stylish, don't follow the crowd. Smart casual for preference. Scrub up well when the occasion demands.
