I'm new to this so my profile may be amended a few times.
I would like to start with a friend and meet for coffee or drinks or a meal.
I am quite shy, easy going and a bit reserved. I don't say a lot, but hopefully the right person will bring me out of my shell.
I am not afraid of housekeeping and find ironing etc quite relaxing. Cooking I can do the basics but being on my own there is no need for anything fancy.
My tastes in music are very eclectic. I like most kinds of music including 60s, 70s and especially Northern soul. I also like gentle jazz and brass bands.
Current hobbies are gardening and anything connected to electronics. I do a lot of reading, mostly mysteries and I like to do jigsaws.
I enjoy the occasional pub drink or restaurant meal.
My general health is good and have never had to spend a night in hospital. I do have some aggravation in my hips but I can still walk unaided, but dancing is out of the question.
I like holidays in Spain and especially Portugal. I don't like the idea of cruising and have never been on a cruise though I have recently considered the possibility of a river cruise.

I am hoping to meet someone who is looking for a longer term friendship. or possibly more.
As I don’t drive I would prefer someone local to Wakefield so that we can meet up more often.
