About him
I regard growing older as a privilege, and I intend to enjoy that privilege with enthusiasm.
At 76, I lead an active, independent life and remain interested in people, ideas and what might be around the next corner. I have always believed that age is much more about outlook than a number, and I have no intention of allowing that number to define how I live my life.
I have had a varied and rewarding career, from an engineering apprenticeship and the workshop floor through to senior management and the boardroom. These days I continue to mentor people in business, something I enjoy enormously. I like making a difference, but I also value humour, warmth and not taking oneself too seriously.
I am naturally positive, emotionally aware and comfortable showing affection. Family matters to me, as do kindness, good conversation, laughter and those spontaneous moments that make an ordinary day rather special. I enjoy looking after myself and my appearance, but I am equally interested in what makes someone tick.
I would love to meet a woman who is similarly young in outlook — someone warm, feminine, intelligent and affectionate, with her own interests and opinions and an enthusiasm for life. I am not looking for someone of a particular “type” or age; chemistry and shared outlook matter far more.
I am very comfortable with my own company and have a productive life, so I am not looking for someone simply to fill a space. I would rather wait for that rare connection where conversation comes easily, attraction is mutual and two people discover that life is simply better when shared.
There are, I hope, still plenty of adventures to be had. It would be rather lovely to find the right person to share some of them with.
