I like good food, good wine, and world-wide travel (don’t we all)?
I am a member of a Barber’s Shop Chorus and (for past sins, I suppose) I support Middlesbrough FC.
I am an avid reader of mainly, but not exclusively, historical novels.
I enjoy listening to Folk and Country music, Swing, and good ‘Old Fashioned Rock & Roll’ and, I can shed a tear listening to certain Classics. I do not rule out other styles.
I cannot abide bad manners.
I occasionally enjoy having a beer and 'putting the world to rights’ .
I would like to live every day like it may be my last. However, I take each day as it comes. There is, however a space in my existence that I would like to fill. I miss sharing that space with a women. Adventures are enhanced when shared with someone who completes you. I have had many adventures in my life but without sharing them, they are incomplete.

I am not (initially) looking for marriage. Certainly not before we are both certain that we are right for one another. We are likely both in phases of our lives where we are pretty ’set in our ways’ I would think, and will need to be certain that we can ‘Dovetail’ our lives (ensuring that that ‘dovetailing’ encompasses both families as necessary).
I am not just looking for a ‘friends with benefits’ relationship (however, if that should be a natural development in our relationship so be it; who am I to complain)?
Generally speaking I admire strong, confident, organised, women who are good hostesses, enjoy cooking and, are adventurous by nature. (if you are a killer cake baker and can whip-up 'lemon drizzle’ cake at the drop of a hat I’m already falling for you).
Common interests would be a real bonus, but not a deal breaker.
A lady companion who enjoys travel for the journey, not just the destination, will swiftly attract my interest.
I do not enjoy just laying on a beach topping up my tan (mostly because I am fair skinned and burn easily. I rarely go any darker than a ‘rich tea biscuit’.
However, I would not resent the lady in my life if she were a ‘Sun Bunny’. I would be happy reading a book in some shady spot near by her.
Ladies who are gregarious, and find it easy to mix with people at social events will gain, and hold, my attention very quickly. That said, being shy or reserved at first is normal and, would not put me off you.
I am looking for someone who can make me laugh out loud and, who I can cuddle just because we want to. In short I want someone to make me feel loved once again.
NB: Yes, that is me in the black and white photo, it was taken in Bahrain in 1964. I like it because I was on top of a three story pyramid (however, because of editing the bottom tier cannot be seen). I was about 15 and, full of myself, a right little 'stud muffin’ (well in my teen-age eyes anyway). My profile picture was taken three years ago; the others throughout the last decade.
