About her
Bright-eyed, freckly, quick-witted and rather fond of life, I’m a creative, curious lady with a sunny disposition and a good sense of humour.
I left London some years ago in pursuit of the dream of ‘living the good life’ and found myself happily settled in an idyllic corner of rural Suffolk. I’ve embraced country life wholeheartedly, wonderful friends and neighbours, growing fruit and vegetables, creating things, photographing things and, most recently, learning the art of smoking salmon. After a fair amount of experimentation, I’m pleased to say it’s delicious!
I’m a designer and maker at heart, as well as a teacher of design, and I love the satisfaction of having an idea and turning it into something real. I’m definitely a ‘let’s have a go’ sort of person, although some of my ideas are admittedly more successful than others!
I’m equally happy in shorts and wellies or a favourite frock and heels. I love music and dancing, photography, beautiful gardens and being by, on or in the water. Snorkelling somewhere warm is one of my great pleasures. I’m well travelled too, and there is usually another adventure quietly percolating away.
My idea of bliss? A little Greek or Thai island, watching the sun go down over the water, a glass of local wine, wonderful fresh food and someone interesting beside me to share it with.

What I’m looking for…
I’d love to meet a kind, warm hearted and interesting gentleman who is comfortable in his own skin, has a good sense of humour and still has a real zest for life.
Someone who enjoys good conversation, laughter, music, travel and the occasional adventure, but who is equally happy with the simple pleasures, a country walk, cooking together, a lazy Sunday morning, a beautiful view or a glass of wine at the end of the day.
I’m looking for genuine companionship with a little spark: friendship, affection, chemistry, romance and that wonderful feeling of being excited to see each other. Someone to share experiences with, support each other, laugh together and make new memories.
I’m independent and have a very happy life of my own, so I’m not looking for someone to complete me. I’d rather find someone who has his own interests and friendships and who would like to ‘join two good lives together and make them even more enjoyable’
I’m rather partial to a gentleman with a twinkle in his eye, a curious mind and a playful side. And if you still fancy holding hands, exploring somewhere new and falling a little bit in love along the way, we might get on rather well.
I’m affectionate, loyal and very fond of laughter. And if I were one of those ubiquitous sticks of seaside rock, I rather suspect mine would say ‘Happy, Sunny Lady’ all the way through.
