Hello! I’m an optimistic, curious human who’s still trying to work out how life works, but enjoying the ride anyway.
I’m gradually retiring from my legal career (yes, I know—finally). I also teach law and meditation, but don’t worry, I won’t ask you to breathe mindfully while reading contracts.
I’m happiest outdoors: cycling, sailing, skiing—basically any activity where there’s fresh air and a mild risk of me falling over. Nature keeps me sane, mostly.
I’ve spent years meditating, which means I’m slightly better than average at noticing when I’m being an idiot… and occasionally doing something about it. I’m emotionally intelligent, grounded, and, on rare occasions, even wise. Very rare occasions.
Despite being more introvert than extrovert, I like good conversations—the kind where you actually talk about things, not just compare Netflix queues. I value depth, kindness, humour, and people who don’t take themselves too seriously.
Kids? Great. More kids? I’m good, thanks.
I’m not big on material stuff or flashy lifestyles. Connection matters more. Friendship matters most. And yes, I genuinely listen to Radio 4 on purpose.
I’m an INFJ, apparently, though I’m still not entirely sure what that means beyond “likes quiet time and overthinks things”.
