I am creative and have wry sense of humour. I am generally an optimistic and upbeat person who enjoys engaging in good conversation over any topic that is non-contentious. When I am not dabbling in oil paints, or sculpting, or writing, I enjoy going to the theatre, watching a good film, keeping fit and travelling abroad … especially to France. Like most people I usually like to relax with a good book, usually fiction. And the genre depends on the kind of mood I’m in. Currently I like crime, comedy, magic realism with a noirish-element to it.

I’m looking for someone who’s comfortable, confident and kind. Someone who enjoys life and keeping healthy and fit. It’s impossible or to say what makes a relationship work but if his interests and sense of humour are the same as mine that would be a great start. If he enjoyed travel, country walks, sailing (I would love to learn) that would be a great and if he spoke French, that would be an added bonus. A deal breaker for me would be any form of prejudice or extremist views
