About him
I enjoy the beauty of nature, walking, jogging, gardening, meeting up with my two children, meditation, listening to music, home improvements, website design.
I'm in good health on all levels - mental, emotional and physical.
I am basically Christian, but still exploring, and longing to be where I belong, suspecting that I have been there all along.
Studied biology at Uni. 4 years in water treatment, 2 years as a volunteer, then married. Worked in energy management. Developed a residential lettings business, and in 1999 gave up my regular job to do the house repairs, and help with our children. Happily married for 44 years. Our lives together were delightful, so I know what's possible, but I know that it cannot be re-created now.
I enjoy the comfort of home and local outings, and prefer a simple pace when it comes to holiday travel, dining out, and socialising.
There may be cracks between my imperfect offering and your ideal match, but that's how the light gets in, so let us ring the bells that still can ring!
I do have plans for what I must do over the coming years; much of the work I must do can be done wherever you and I are together.

Alone in my life-boat
so far, I keep afloat.
But, a bit lost, for sure,
so far from the foreshore.
I'm out on the ocean,
moved by emotion.
Setting my direction -
my compass - compassion.
Not drowning, but waving,
I still needing saving;
throw me a life-line and
I'll land on your island;
then we walk on the sand;
this, please understand,
may be metaphorical,
but could be littoral.
