I am generally a quieter type of person but can babble on with the best of them in the right company and I believe I'm a reasonably good communicator and conversationalist. Love to have a laugh but also to learn new things and hear other opinions. There's far more to learn in this life than is known.
I'm a country boy at heart and a lover of the great outdoors, with all it's many wonders right under our noses. You won't find me in a gym or exercising indoors - it's Shanks's pony for me every day and I have recently gone back to swimming after far too many years to count. Admittedly indoors for now but hopefully some outdoor venues when I'm back up to a half decent condition.
I like helping people, even if it's just simply holding a door open or carrying something to a car. I also like fixing things when I can and I'm pretty decent at DIY and the like. I'm very good with my hands...
About his ideal match
I don't have a shopping list of requirements although I do appreciate kind, considerate and empathetic people. I have generally found I get on well with people who are articulate, thought provoking and intelligent. A good sense of humour goes a long way too, although I am not a fan of loud, brash and boisterous behavior, I'm afraid.
I travelled a bit when younger but very little subsequently and have a great interest in other cultures and the travel experiences of other, so naturally well travelled persons would pique my interest, as would those with a global interest.
Someone who enjoys the great outdoors and walks would be ideal and if you like coffee shops, that would be a bonus!
