Why? Well ...I have a particularly good coffee machine ...and my wine rack is usually well-stocked 😎
I'm intelligent (despite occasional blonde moments), playful, easy going, good humoured, warm, tactile (currently suppressed), prone to displays of affection (also suppressed), caring and sensitive. I'm fit and in relatively good shape despite my love of fine food and wine (not suppressed!)
I’ve now hung up my working boots, so have time to enjoy myself! My professional life was unhealthily full-on, but I surprised myself by how easily I adapted to the change of pace. I’m naturally active with no shortage of things to do, but now I’m more chilled.
My first months of retirement didn’t quite reach the dizzy heights I’d anticipated, but on the plus side my house and garden benefited from a sudden injection of energy - fresh paintwork and redesigned picture galleries - and a summer long battle with blackspot resulted in spectacular displays of roses!
I’m learning Spanish, which is coming along nicely - helped by a period in Seville. In addition I’ve stepped up my exercise regime, and have taken up golf.
I’m very fortunate to have a wonderful family and a small but important network of good friends. My life is already lovely, but I really want to find that special person with whom I want to spend time - sharing even simple pleasures, like preparing a meal together then eating in the garden on a warm summer evening with a nice bottle of wine ...perfect!
